Creon on Trial is a sequel to the Greek tragedy Antigone. In this play, Creon has been accused of manslaughter of the lives of Haemon and Eurydice. He speaks just after a meeting with his attorney and the case is not looking to be in his favor. In an attempt to connect with contemporary audiences, Creon, aside from his kingship, is voiced in a modern tongue; the play is to be set in the present day. Exploring a modern legal process, the question begs: could Creon be above the law today? Would he face impeachment? Removal? Creon on Trial critiques a man who prioritizes legalities over remorse.
